how great is our God!

"The splendor of a King, clothed in majesty
Let all the earth rejoice
All the earth rejoice..."

Whenever I hear Chris Tomlin sing this beautiful worship song (How Great Is Our God), I am overcome with gratitude and adoration.  My heart nearly bursts with the pure joy that our Lord imparts to us daily.

"He wraps Himself in light, and darkness tries to hide
And trembles at His voice,
Trembles at His voice..."

How can I have a 'blue' day for very long when I pause to think of the truth is these words?!

"How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God..."

This time of year, my mind wanders into the strangest avenues at times.  I bite into the warm sunshine of a garden-fresh tomato and I think to myself, "My sweet Jesus (as a mere man) never tasted anything so wonderful, and yet He prepared them for me to enjoy. How great is our God!

"Age to Age He stands
And time is in His hands
Beginning and the end
Beginning and the end..."

Age to Age and generation to generation, His pure love never wavers; His mercy and grace are magnificent in the scope of their reach.  To me, to my children, to my children's children...on and on it goes!

"The God-head, three in one
Father, Spirit, Son
The Lion and the Lamb
The Lion and the Lamb..."

Perfect, matchless, beautiful peace.  Nothing, no nothing, can alter this great peace that defies human reasoning---it's past finding out.  The road of life is often strewn with obstacles, and yet!  He is always there, keeping our restless hearts and minds in perfect peace.  How great is our God!

"Name above all names
Worthy of our praise
My heart will sing
How great is our God..."

Whisper it...the name of 'Jesus'...let it linger in your ears...'Jesus'...how precious is that lovely name!

"How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God."

The beautiful mornings, the rainy days, He made them all.  He made all things for us to richly enjoy.  No, He never tasted a sun-ripened tomato, but He made sure that I could!  HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD!!!!
